The humanitarian crisis in Puerto Rico in the aftermath of Hurricane María has further unveiled the vulnerability of the island due to its economic and political circumstances. The slow pace of recovery and the burden of government debt have intensified feelings of abandonment and worry for the future of low-income families in Puerto Rico. This conversation will aim to provide a space for the expression of concern and solidarity toward the well-being of Puerto Ricans affected by this natural disaster. Our guest speaker will be Professor Dannelle Gutarra Cordero, Ph.D. in the Princeton Writing Program.
